Since 1901, National Hardware has been at the forefront of innovations in the hardware industry. Our very first product was a barn door hanger that still hangs proudly on many barns across the nation today. National Hardware continues to perfect our craftmanship for barn door hardware with this new line of trendsetting hardware that features high-end finishes and innovative track systems for easier installation. Our Premium Designer Kit offers a one-piece full track that runs 72 inches long and offers finishes in Matte Black and Brushed Gold. All mounting and floor guides are included. This complete kit comes with our discrete Soft-Close accessory for a smooth and quiet operation to reduce track jumping, rail noise, and symmetrical door alignment. Accessorize your new sliding barn door with one of our three stylish and functional pulls. Our Charleston pull has a clean traditional look, our Troy pull is sleeker and transitional, while our Madison pull is more modern with simple lines. Our superior barn door catalog allows for full customization in various styles, finishes, and accessories that complement any home design.
Measure the width and height of the opening. The barn door you choose should be slightly larger than the opening, so youâÂÂll want to add 2âÂÂ- 4â to completely cover the frame.
PRO TIP: If your door has a trim, be sure to measure the width of the door to the edges of trim.
Taking the width of your door frame, measure out the length on the adjacent wall (right or left). Double barn doors require clearance on both sides.
PRO TIP: Doors must be able to fully open without disruptions from objects such as light switches or other immoveable objects.
Take your ideal barn door width and multiply that by two. This number will be your ideal track length.
PRO TIP: For custom lengths, you can purchase an additional kit to extend the length using a connecting adaptor.
Add a personal touch with a variety of pulls. From our traditional Charleston to the sleek and transitional Troy or the modern Madison, thereâÂÂs a pull for every style. Check out our other accessories to make your Barn Door your own.
